The coroners office says Turrentine was driving a 2016 Ford F-450 on Harmony Grove Road before the truck, which also had a 27-year-old passenger, crossed the double yellow line, hitting a 2016 Freightliner dump truck that was hauling dirt.
The driver of the Freightliner, a 23-year-old man from Dover, Pennsylvania, and the 27-year-old passenger in the F-450 were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

BERWICK, Pennsylvania — One person was killed and another 17 people injured when a vehicle struck a crowd gathered at a Pennsylvania bar for a fundraiser for victims of a house fire that killed 10 earlier this month the man police say was the driver was arrested shortly afterward in the beating death of his mother nearby.
The crash occurred at about 6:15 p.m. Saturday outside the Intoxicology Department bar in Berwick, which had been scheduled to hold an all-day fundraising event to benefit victims of the Aug. 5 blaze, that killed seven adults and three children in Nescopeck.
Pennsylvania State Police identified the driver as 24-year-old Adrian Oswaldo Sura Reyes of Nescopeck. He was arraigned early Sunday morning on two counts of criminal homicide.
Shortly after the crash was reported, troopers were called about a man “physically assaulting” a woman less than a mile away in Nescopeck. Troopers arrived to find that Sura Reyes had been arrested by local police and a woman was dead.
Luzerne County Coroner Francis Hacken confirmed Sunday that the victim, Rosa D. Reyes, 56, of Nescopeck – dead of multiple traumatic injuries after being struck by a vehicle and then assaulted with a hammer – was the mother of suspect Sura Reyes.

Mike McMullen, a spokesperson for health care provider Geisinger, said it had been treating 15 patients from the Berwick accident at three of its locations. Five are in critical condition, and three are in fair condition. Seven were treated and released, he said.

Funerals were set to begin Friday for some of the victims who died in the Aug. 5 blaze, with additional services scheduled for Sunday and Monday.
The deceased included seven adults ranging in age from 19 to 79, two boys ages 5 and 6, and a 7-year-old girl, according to Pennsylvania State Police. All 10 died of smoke inhalation, the coroner determined.
The home was burned to the ground, and remains were discovered as authorities went through the rubble.

Wisconsin Lawmaker In Car Accident That Left 2 Dead
MADISON, Wis. Wisconsin Senate Democratic Minority Leader Janet Bewley was involved in a fatal car crash Friday that left a 27-year-old mother from Pennsylvania and her 5-year-old daughter dead, police said Monday.
Ashland Police Chief Bill Hagstrom told the Ashland Daily Press on Monday that Bewley was not injured in the crash and the State Patrol was reconstructing the crash. No charges have been filed yet as that work continues.

When Ortmans car collided with Bewleys, it spun across Highway 2 and was hit by another vehicle.
Ortmans 5-year-old daughter was pronounced dead at the crash scene. Ortman was transported to a nearby hospital where she later died, according to police. Hagstrom said Bewley was not taken to the hospital.
Bewley, a member of the Senate since 2015, is not seeking reelection.

CARBON COUNTY, Pa. Officials identified 33-year-old Harry Jackson III from New Jersey as the man who died in a crash in Carbon County Friday night.
The crash happened when a tractor-trailer was traveling south on the turnpike just before the Lehighton Exit.
Police say the tractor-trailer hit the center concrete barrier before hitting a vehicle in the oncoming lanes.
Concrete from the barrier struck several other cars, and two of the cars ran into the tractor-trailer.
Another driver was seriously injured and taken to the hospital.

The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. Friday night between the Lehighton Exit 74 and Route 209 Exit 87.
The coroner says one man died in the crash that involved six cars.

At Least One Dead 17 Injured After Car Strikes Crowd In Pennsylvania
After the crash, the suspect was accused of fatally assaulting a woman in Nescopeck, where he was taken into custody by municipal police, Petroski said.
Police are investigating whether the suspect intentionally drove into the crowd, and have not said whether there was a connection between the suspect and the woman who was killed in Nescopeck.
NBC affiliate WBRE of Wilkes-Barre reported the crowds had gathered at a Berwick benefit event to raise funds for the families of the three children and seven adults who died in an early morning house fire on Aug. 5 in Nescopeck.
Officials have not released the identities of the two people who were killed. Columbia County coroner Jeremy Reese said the woman in the Berwick crash was 50 years old, and from Wilkes-Barre. She was declared dead at the scene.
The 17 injured people were taken to four area hospitals, Petroski said. Their conditions were not immediately available from law enforcement Saturday night.

In a pair of horrific scenes on Saturday night that compounded the tragedy of a recent fatal fire in eastern Pennsylvania, a man plowed his car into a fund-raising event for families affected by that fire, killing one and injuring 17, then drove off and fatally beat a woman before the police arrested him, the authorities said.
The suspect, identified by the police as Adrian Oswaldo Sura Reyes, 24, was arraigned on two counts of homicide and denied bail. He is being held at the Columbia County Correctional Facility.
Investigators identified the woman who was beaten to death as the suspects mother, Rosa D. Reyes, The Press Enterprise of Bloomsburg, Pa., reported, citing court records. Investigators said that Mr. Reyes told them he hit his mother with his car and then struck the woman, who appeared to be unconscious, over the head with a hammer several times.
Five of the injured in the crash in Berwick, a borough about 45 miles southwest of Scranton, were in critical condition on Sunday morning, said Matt Mattei, a spokesman for Geisinger Medical Center, where many of the victims were taken.
