Genesis X Speedium Concept
Genesis is one step closer to producing a coupe. After last year’s stunning X Concept, Genesis has introduced the X Speedium Concept. Ignoring the silly name, there’s a lot to love about this two-door. First of all, its proportions have changed since last year, adopting a longer roof that dovetails into a shooting brake shape.
While the interior remains to be seen, there’s so much to love about the concept’s exterior design. The wraparound dual-light design that has transferred well to Genesis’ road cars is even crazier now, creating the shape of a triangular grille up front to help bridge the gap between newer and older design languages. As Genesis creeps toward its goal of being electric-only by 2030, the Genesis X Speedium concept gives us a great idea of what’s just around the corner.
Deus Vayanne Ev Hypercar
A collaboration between Williams Engineering, Italdesign and Deus, this electric hypercar is planned for super-low production, but incredibly high performance. Output is meant to be more than 2,200 horsepower and it has a claimed 0-62 mph time of 1.99 seconds. Only 99 are meant to be built, but we know that will be a tough, uphill battle to accomplish. Maybe, just maybe, youll see a Deus outside of the NY Auto Show stand one day.
Jeep Grand Wagoneer L
The large Jeep Grand Wagoneer has gotten even bigger. The extended wheelbase Grand Wagoneer L gets 12 inches more in overall length and 7 inches of wheelbase than the models’ traditional length. It has better passenger and cargo volume behind the third row than its Ford, Chevrolet, GMC and Cadillac competition.
Jeep’s design and engineering team have managed to keep the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer’s upscale appearance intact with the addition of the new model, while also giving it transmission, suspension, and drivetrain options that can be found on smaller sized models.

World Car Of The Year
While the Hyundai Ioniq 5 has long been a Roadshow favorite, this midsize EV finally received its due recognition at the 2022 New York Auto Show, when it won the World Car of the Year, World Electric Car and World Car Design awards. The Hyundai beat its sibling Kia EV6 and the Ford Mustang Mach-E for World Car of the Year honors, and it beat big names like the Audi E-Tron GT and Mercedes-Benz EQS for the electric-only category.

Ford Gt Holman Moody Heritage Edition
The Ford sports car sits at the New York Auto Show on a raised platform alongside its namesake, a GT40 MK II race car that completed the famous 1-2-3 sweep at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966.
The new GT features a gold and red livery with Oxford White rounders and the No. 5 featured on the doors, hood and rear wing. Exposed gloss carbon fiber components including 20-inch wheels, a front splitter, side sills, mirrors, engine louvers and a rear diffuser make the model stand out.

There is NO public parking available at the Javits Centers on-site. The New York International Auto Show has returned to New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Center after a two-year hiatus. The show is historically one of the best-attended auto shows in the world.
Though there are less debuts at the event this year, a number of new models stand out, including some vehicles that are among the most popular in America. Other models on display come from global retailers poised to make the jump to dealership sales in the United States.

The muscle minivan is still a work in progress but a supercharged 800-hp V8 is a good start. The finished build of the Pacifica Hellcat will debut later this year at the SEMA Show.

Jeep Wagoneer L And Grand Wagoneer L
This one was inevitable. Jeep revealed the longer, roomier versions of its Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer in New York, and theyre designated with an L at the end of their names. Total length grows by a foot, and the wheelbase goes up by 7 inches versus the standard Wagoneer models. Jeep has essentially allocated all this extra room to the cargo area, as it now offers a staggering 44.2 cubic-feet of space behind the third row.
Besides the L, Jeep announced that its new Hurricane inline-six engine would find its first home in the Wagoneer. Efficiency gets a small boost, and power is more than sufficient at either 420 horsepower or 510 horsepower from the twin-turbo I-6.

After a turbulent couple of years which included the cancellationand in some cases last-minute cancellationof nearly every major North American auto show, 2022 is beginning to look like a return to auto-show normalcy.
If you havent been paying attention, the 2020 Chicago Auto Show was the last major event before COVID-19 struck in earnest, causing the 2020 editions of the Los Angeles and New York shows to be scrapped, as well as the 2021 New York show. Though it was pushed back from February until July, and limited somewhat in size and scope, a 2021 edition of the Chicago Auto Show was pulled off. Likewise, the Detroit Auto Show went on hiatus after the 2019 event, though an scaled-down outdoor replacement event, Motor Bella, took place this past September.
Here is the 2022 North American auto-show schedule, that, with a little luck, should happen as planned. Not included on this list is the Miami Auto Show, for which there are apparently no 2022 plans.
Deus Automobiles Vayanne Concept
Deus Automobiles made its auto show debut with a doozy of a vehicle. The Vayanne is an EV hypercar concept with a projected 2,200 hp and 1,475 lb-ft of torque. Oh, youre laughing, too? Because those numbers are hilarious. The Austrian startup also says its Vayanne concept is production-oriented. Its claimed 0-to-62 mph time is 1.99 seconds and its top speed is 248 mph. To be fair, Deus isnt the first to suggest bonkers performance numbers.
The Vayanne was created through a three-way collaboration, supported by Giorgetto Giugiaro-founded Italdesign and Williams Advanced Engineering. We dont have any other specifications or details, but the Vayannes proportions are those of a mid-engine sports car. It looks to be well-balanced performance-wise, if not a bit bland in terms of hypercar design appeal. The interior is outfitted with sustainable materials and Deus is committed to a zero-waste production process. Even with legitimate names as partners, the Vayannes specs are pretty ambitious. But Deus Automobiles plans to build a limited run of 99 units, the first delivery expected for 2025.
